JP Kalaravkar for media & organisers

JP Kalaravkar is the stage name of Jay Patel, a singer and performer based in Vadodara, Gujarat, whose public profile lists the Bachelor of Performing Arts programme at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. His earliest credited performance online is a 2020 cover of “Vaara Re”, released under the spelling JP Kalravkar. That December he shared “The Midnight Medley” with singer Sankalp Srivastava — also his first credit alongside Parth Maru, the producer behind much of his later work. Covers followed for the next three years: the Kedarnath anthem “Jai Jai Kedara”, “Kahani” (recorded at his father’s suggestion), and a Gujarati “Mare Palavde Bandhayo” released on the eve of Navratri 2022. From 2024 his Gujarati sessions grew — “Saybo Maro Gulab No Chhod”, “Valam Ni Vaat”, “Aabh Ma Jhini Jhabuke” — leading to Gopal Maro, a Janmashtami release for Baal Krishna produced by Parth Maru with a rap verse by Ankur Kalsariya. It passed 100,000 YouTube views and went to streaming platforms in September 2026. By his own count he has played more than 700 shows. After a first Navratri at Rajpath Navratri in Bhavnagar in 2025, the festival brought him back for 11–20 October 2026. He also performs with the live band The Urban Strings.
